John Wall has redemption on his mind.
But not on a court, rather on a field. Tonight, John Wall gets a second chance to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at a Nationals game.
Back in 2011, he was given the honor, but after warming up on flat ground he struggled up on the mound and threw a pitch that he would like to forget.
He said he tried to zing one in there "like Strasburg" when he was out there two years ago, but tonight he may just lob one over to make sure it reaches home plate. See Wall's full interview on his preparation here:
Randy Wittman also chimed in on Wall's first pitch tonight and said, "It can't be any worse than last time." See his remarks here:
Wall's teammates were showing off their skills after practice and trying to give Wall a few pointers on pitching. Check out video of A.J. Price, Garrett Temple, Bradley Beal and Kevin Seraphin all taking their turn to display their arm strength on the Wizards practice court:
The Nationals host the Chicago White Sox tonight in an interleague battle at Nationals Park. The first real pitch is slated for 7:05, but make sure to be there early to see Wall throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
