The league announced the Las Vegas Summer League schedule on Wednesday and it has the Wizards taking on the Warriors, Knicks, and Nuggets in the preliminary rounds before being seeded for a single-elimination tournament. The Wiz will take on the Warriors on Sat, July 13 at 4pm, the Knicks on Sun, July 14 at 4pm, and the Nuggets on Tues, July 16 at 10pm.
After playing the first three games between July 12-16, all of the 22 teams will then be seeded into the tournament running from July 17-22. The top 10 teams will essentially have a bye in the first round (Wednesday, July 17) and the winners of the first round games (teams ranked 11-22) will then get to advance in the tournament to play on Thursday. Friday is reserved as a consolation day as the losers of both Wednesday's and Thursday's games will play for a final time before departing Vegas. The quarterfinals will be held on Saturday, July 20th, the semifinals will be on Sunday, July 21st, and then the Championship game will be held on Monday, July 22 at 9pm. See the NBA's press release for complete schedule
This is the first time they have incorporated this tournament style of play, so it will be interesting to see how it shakes out when all 22 teams are out there competing. All teams will play a minimum of five games and a maximum of eight games over the 11 day session.
The Wizards will be announcing their Summer League roster over the next few weeks so stay tuned for more updates.
A complete broadcast schedule will come out at a later date, with many of the games available either on NBATV or online on digital platforms.
