Wizards Close Out Preseason in Cincy

Wizards @ Cavs | 7pm | U.S. Bank Arena | 106.7 FM/1500 AM

The Wizards will put a bow on the 2013 preseason tonight as they take on the Cavs in Cincinnati.  This will be the Wizards' seventh preseason game overall and fourth at a non-NBA arena.  As many teams try and build their fan bases beyond their home city, Cleveland is trying to build theirs throughout Ohio, hence tonight's game being played in Cincinnati.

This will be the second game in as many nights for the Wizards as they fell to the Pistons, 99-96, last night in Detroit.

It will be one last chance for the team to correct any mistakes and work through any overlying issues that may still be lingering here in the preseason. The turnover issue, which was a point of emphasis heading into last night's game, was handled well as the Wizards limited themselves to just 10 against a tough Detroit team.

What to Watch For:

Kevin Seraphin had a big second half last night and finished with a double-double (14 points, 11 rebounds). He could be making a case to get a big chunk of the playing time in the middle with Emeka Okafor out, so look for him to continue to see a lot of action tonight before the regular season starts next Wednesday.

Bradley Beal led the team in scoring again last night, which could be a common theme during the 2013-14 season. Tonight is his last tuneup before the season, so look for him to try to finish off the preseason on a high note.

Randy Wittman told his team that they can't "turn on the switch" like they tried to do last night in Detroit after a sluggish start, so look for the team to come out playing hard from the opening whistle tonight.  They don't want to start forming bad habits before the season begins, and slow starts are something that has plagued this team in the past.

Projected Lineups:

G- Wall

G- Beal

F- Ariza

F- Booker

C- Nene

G- Irving

G- Miles

F- Gee

F- Thompson

C- Varejao

There will be no local TV broadcast of the game, but you can listen to the game on 106.7 FM or 1500 AM.
