Season Opener Preview at Palace

Wizards @ Pistons | 7:30pm | Palace of Auburn Hills | NBATV | 1500 AM

As the preseason winds down, the Wizards head to Detroit for a preview of the season opener at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

In eight days, the Wizards and Pistons will do battle in Detroit in the regular season opener. But tonight, they get a small taste of what to expect next week when they square off in a preseason game.

Even with a real game in a little over a week, head coach Randy Wittman indicated that he won't play the game any different or gameplan like it were any other preseason game.  He still will focus on his group and continue to test different lineups before determining his rotation for the regular season.

What to Watch For:

The mantra in camp right now is all about limiting turnovers, so look for that to be a key point of emphasis as the Wizards close out the preseason in Detroit and Cincinnati.

Bradley Beal has been on fire of late, scoring a career-high 30 points on Saturday night in Kentucky.  Look for him to continue to show a hot hand as he finishes out the preseason.

Despite being without Emeka Okafor, the Wizards had outrebounded all of their opponents until Saturday night's game against New Orleans.  Nene will be back in the middle at center, but look for the trio of young bigs (Booker, Seraphin, Vesely) to play a big role in the post as they continue to fight for playing time.
