Beal Tests Out Wrist as Wizards Prepare for Knicks

February 5, 2013
Jeremy Hyman -

After beating the Clippers on Monday night, the Wizards returned for a light practice on Tuesday. Randy Wittman said the team ran through non-contact drills and Bradley Beal took part in the shooting portion for the first time in over a week. He injured his wrist in Denver on January 18th, but then tried to play through the injury. The problem was that the wrist continued to bother him and was affecting his shot, which would eventually cause him to miss the Wizards three-game road trip last week and Monday's game vs. the Clippers.

Witt said that Beal was making steps in the right direction and will be evaluated each day. It sounded like he should be back in the lineup soon, possibly as soon as tomorrow night when the Wizards host the Knicks.

Randy Wittman talked about the Wizards tough matchup with the Knicks and about Beal's wrist after Tuesday's practice:

Trevor Ariza also spoke about his new role with the team and how he has adjusted to coming off the bench

The Wizards try and begin another winning streak on Wednesday night as the red hot Knicks come to town for what should be a fun one at Verizon Center. Join the Live Chat on at 7pm!
